The Midwest Urban Recycling Forum is a two day program to address issues of common concern for city recycling coordinators and highlight new initiatives and best practices for managing these challenging material streams. The forum will provide an excellent opportunity to examine current pressures on metropolitan recycling programs and to provide networking opportunities for all involved.

8:30 a.m. Forum 3: Optimizing Non-Residential Collection & Recovery
Goal: Participants will share effective strategies for increasing recovery of recyclables from venues, paper from offices, and construction & demolition debris.

10:30 a.m. Forum 4: Optimizing Residential Collection & Recovery
Goal: Participants will provide examples and strategies on how they are maximizing collection of recyclables from residential generators. Topics to be covered include bins vs. carts/toters, tapping into multi-unit buildings, textiles collection, effective contracting mechanisms, and effective strategies to measure generation data and recovery rates for accountability and communicate effectiveness.
