Please welcome a new IRF member. Established in 2014, Chicago-based RDI’s mission is to provide customized electronic recycling service and IT solutions with a reliable, secure, and environmentally-friendly recycling process.  RDI provides full-service support that includes pick-up and removal of retired electronics, sorting, dismantling, and recycling. RDI also provides end-of-life solutions for solar panels and other array components.

RDI is committed to meet or exceed their customer’s requirements, to continually improve their processes, and to maintain compliance with relevant environmental, occupational health and safety, data security legislation and regulations.  RDI can customize a program for special healthcare devices.  They erase the confidential data from information assets in a safe and secure way, with data destruction certificate reports and repacking for shipment, ensuring the data is permanently unrecoverable and completely eliminating the risk of leaks.  They strive to produce an environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and reliable service to process e-waste and recover asset value.

RDI is committed to building interest in the importance of recycling by holding monthly programs in schools, businesses, libraries, and at community events. Through these events, RDI delivers recycling knowledge to different age groups, while making them aware of the consequences if they don’t recycle. RDI is working with electronics manufacturers to help them meet legislative requirements on managing e-waste.  They are committed to establishing a donation program to “give back” to society.

RDI provides cost-efficient and sustainable IT asset solutions for OEM, helping to build a wasteless product lifecycle and assuring a comprehensive closed-loop process.  RDI manages returned and open-box products, retired electronics devices and IT equipment from retail stores.  Understanding your priority is the key to our outstanding performance.  Because RDI provides manual dismantling service, they are able to carefully separate the high value components from the unusable.

RDI is committed to following the R2: V3, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 14001: 2015 requirements and to maintain conformance to the requirements of our QEH&S management system and scope. RDI’s goal is to have a positive impact through responsible recycling requirements that include the conservation of metals, plastic, and other non-renewable resources.
