Elisabeth is a driven sustainability professional with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry as a sustainability expert and environmental activist. She is experienced in all aspects of long-term sustainability planning, operations, manufacturing, and strategic communications. In her current role at ISU, Elisabeth collaborates broadly with students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community partners to educate, inspire, challenge conventional ways of thinking and leverage the institution’s potential for global change. She developed the award-winning Fix It Friday program, a free repair clothing service offered to the Illinois State University campus, and the surrounding community. She has a strong arts and design background with a Master of Arts in Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati. Elisabeth describes sustainability as “Not just a passion of mine, it is my compass. The heart and direction to which every choice I make is centered.”
