Dr. Jacobson is a retired senior executive with an extensive generalist career that reflects over thirty years of experience in all facets of healthcare, education, strategic planning and quality. Bert has a strong, value-added outcomes orientation in creating sustainable organizational change for the 21st Century by demonstrated efforts in visionary leadership, business systems development, organizational development, quality improvement, team-building, mentoring and research. From 2008-2010, he was the co-founder and Director of the Illinois Community College Sustainability Network (now known as The Illinois Green Economy Network), He is and has been a director on a variety of professional boards (including the Illinois Recycling Association and the National Recycling Coalition, National Standards Certification Board 2013-2017), involved in many community activities in a leadership role, holds a doctorate in Cognitive Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis, a six sigma black belt from the American Society for Quality and was a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Examiner in 2007.
